Overview
The organization is an award-winning brokerage that specializes in short-term insurance which has been in existence for more than 14 years. The organization's head office is established in Gauteng and has an additional two branches in KZN. The hired individual will be responsible for new business development in Cape Town and expected to work independently within the Western Cape region. 

Duties:
  • Implement strategic marketing efforts to acquire clients with a need for commercial and specialized insurance.
  • Conduct Financial Needs Analysis of potential clients
  • Generate quotations from suitable insurers on behalf of clients 
  • Take accountability for the month-on-month growth of the commercial & specialized insurance portfolio within the Western Cape region
  • Ensure client satisfaction by facilitating the engagement between clients and insurers such as:
    • Annual renewals
    • Amendments on policies
    • Debit order runs
    • Refunds & accounts queries
    • Registering clients' claims on all aspects of their personal lines and commercial business including special risks
    • following up recoveries
    • liaising with insurance assessors
    • All related administrative duties
  • Ensure that new policies are aligned with insurers ratings on commercial policies
  • Conduct regular meeting with clients and attend meetings between insurers and larger clients.
Minimum requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in commercial and specialized insurance 
  • 5 years of experience in generating new business within the commercial and specialized insurance industry
  • Passed First Level Regulatory Examination for Representatives
  • 150 Short-Term Insurance FAIS credits (commercial & personal-line)
Remuneration: The basic salary is negotiable which will include contributions to medical aid & provident fund benefits and excludes performance-based commission.
